Just a brief note to let everyone know, my beautiful Lass passed away Satrday mornng.
It is a mystery, a shock, even to the vet (she was improving). She just laid down and died, right after we talked in the morning.
I am still trying to process this, and figure out what to do with my time now...and how to replace some of the relationships with people I won't be seeing any more.
Will talk later,
Janie
I am so sorry Janie, hang in there. Sending prayers your way, xo
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you guys..it means a life changing issue for me..I will have to get used to it.
ReplyDeleteWe got her when she was 8 months old, and she was 14 years..young for a horse...(her breed can live to 35 or 40)
So sorry for your loss ... some stuff is just unexplainable.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
ReplyDeleteI will write about her more when I can..she had problems her whole life. But talk about a life style change...this is going to take some time to get used to.
I am so sorry Janie. I thought losing a dog was hard, but I think a horse would be so much more...
ReplyDeleteThanks Krystal. She has been through a lot with me..or maybe I should say she saw me through a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Janie! Something was telling me to visit you today as I haven't heard from you in a long time. It must be so hard to lose an old and faithful friend like Lass. I hope, in time, that you will be able to give a good home to another horse one day. Are there rescue societies for horses like there are for dogs? {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteHi Pat..thank you...
ReplyDeleteI have some repair work to do on the corral before I have another horse, but I am not up to it yet..It will be tough I know...and maybe it is a good time to move (although not so sure I want to leave my beloved NY either!)
